General Information
Sports Clinic Orthopaedic Medical Associates, Inc. (The Sports Clinic) has provided high quality orthopedic medical care in Laguna Hills, California since 1982. A premier resource for the injured athlete, The Sports Clinic reflects the natural evolution of the orthopaedic practice started by Wesley M. Nottage, M.D. in 1982.
Fellowship trained by Richard O’Connor M.D. in Arthroscopic Surgery, Dr. Nottage has subsequently taught and assisted in the development of the latest arthroscopic surgical techniques for the knee and shoulder.
The vast majority of orthopaedic and sports injuries do NOT require surgery, and are best treated by non-operative rehabilitative techniques. Our physicians are in the forefront of the rapidly expanding world of sports medicine, and can help decide the best approach and treatment for each patient.
We provide access to qualified orthopaedic care early in the injury process, and emphasize accurate diagnosis, utilizing MR Scans when appropriate.
Fracture management remains a core portion of our practice, and is offered to our patients as well.
Our attentive office staff (no voice mail) will attempt to preserve our core values of individual integrity and personal attention and service to our patients, in the context of their orthopedic condition.
Specializing in Arthroscopic Joint Disorders, The Sports Clinic is a leader in arthroscopic surgical education for health care professionals word-wide. We participate as faculty members in other orthopaedic educational courses, as well as offering our own annual “Shoulder Surgery Controversies” course on the cutting edge of orthopedics and shoulder surgery.
We welcome your visit to The Sports Clinic, either for management of your injury or as a second opinion. We are located immediately adjacent to Saddleback Memorial Medical Center, and directly behind the Laguna Hills Mall in Laguna Hills, California.
